It’s worth fighting for
The true meaning of love, has been corrupted in the common usage of our society and even in our English language. Love is often confused with infatuation, you know... that "high" feeling that we get when we "fall in love with someone." This kind of "love" usually doesn't last but only a short time, and unless replaced by true love, results in broken relationships.
The bible says that God is love. God showed us what true love really is when he died on the cross for us to save us from eternal separation from him in hell. Even when we screw up time after time again, he still loves us with an everlasting love that won't ever go away. Love poured from his hands and his brow and his love is near. Most of all his love satisfies every inch of our being.
If we love with the kind of love God has for us in our relationships, we will be eager to do everything we can to please the other person and make that person happy. A man should have this kind of love for a woman, he should do everything he can to be with her and to love her. But, if we don't have God's love and love him wholeheartedly first, we will never be able to love someone else with the true love that's been demonstrated by God to us. Just like how Jesus died for us so we could have a chance to be with him forever, so we should have this same kind of love for another.
This song just reminds me of how important love is. Love is worth fighting for... if you love someone... fight for them.
